Author Guidelines

Account Registration

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must have an account in the Jurnal Geologi dan Sumberdaya Mineral (JGSM) system. To request an account, contact the editorial office at redaksipsg@gmail.com with the subject “Permohonan Pembuatan Akun” for Indonesian-language requests or “Account Creation Request” for English-language requests.

Please provide the following information:

  • Full name;
  • Active email address;
  • Active contact number (WhatsApp preferred); and
  • Institution/affiliation.

Once the verification process is complete, the account information will be sent to the registered email address.

Manuscript Submission

After the account has been activated, authors may submit their manuscripts through the Articles section of the JGSM submission system. The submission process requires authors to upload the manuscript and supporting files and complete the information requested in the system.

Authors are advised to prepare all required information and files before starting the submission process. Submitted manuscripts will be screened by the editor to determine their suitability for the journal's scope and requirements before proceeding to peer review.

Detailed requirements for manuscript preparation and formatting are provided in the Article Format. Authors should review and follow these requirements before submitting their manuscripts.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Every submission must meet the following requirements:

  1. The manuscript follows the JGSM Article Format.
  2. The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English.
  3. The manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by another journal.
  4. All authors have approved the submitted manuscript.
  5. The abstract is provided in both Indonesian and English.
  6. References are complete, accurate, and follow the Harvard (author–date) style in accordance with the Article Format.
  7. All references listed have been cited in the text, and every in-text citation is included in the reference list.
  8. All tables and figures are numbered and cited in the text.
  9. Permission has been obtained to use all photographs, datasets, maps, figures, or other third-party materials included in the manuscript.

Copyright Notice

By submitting a manuscript to the Jurnal Geologi dan Sumberdaya Mineral (JGSM), the authors confirm that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by another journal.

The authors also confirm that all listed authors have approved the submitted manuscript. Upon acceptance for publication, the copyright of the article will be held by the Jurnal Geologi dan Sumberdaya Mineral (JGSM).

By completing the submission process, the authors acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these copyright terms.

Privacy Statement

Names and email addresses provided through the Journal of Geology and Mineral Resources (JGSM) website will be used solely for the management and operation of the journal. This information will not be used for any other purpose or disclosed to any other party.
