Vol. 20 No. 3 (2025): Buletin Sumber Daya Geologi
The Bulletin of Geological Resources Volume 20 Number 3 (2025) features five scientific papers addressing mineral, coal, and geothermal resources, authored by researchers from national research centers, universities, and industry.
The first paper investigates the correlation between resistivity, chargeability, and magnetic susceptibility in Dairi Regency, North Sumatra, to delineate subsurface gold and base metal mineralization zones. The second paper evaluates geological criteria of coal seams in the Asam-asam area using core drilling and well logging data, identifying nine coal seams with variable thicknesses. The third paper examines geological settings, alteration zones, mineralization, and ore deposit types related to Cu-Au distribution, revealing a porphyry Cu-Au system overprinted by a high-sulfidation epithermal system. The fourth paper applies detailed remote sensing analyses, including surface temperature, vegetation stress, and band ratio analysis, to characterize thermal manifestations in the Papandayan Crater and Tegal Alun areas. The final paper integrates multidisciplinary geoscience data to characterize shallow geothermal reservoirs and delineate prospect areas in Banda Baru, Central Maluku, providing a strategic framework for sustainable direct-use geothermal energy development to support local economic growth.
