Abstract

Pengambilan sampel sedimen permukaan dasar laut dilakukan sebanyak 78 sampel, sedangkanPemboran dilakukan pada 3 titik lokasi.

Pasir terdapat di sebelah selatan P. Lebu, di sebelah utara mulut Sungai Kampar, dan di selat sebelah selatan P. Mendol. Tekstur sedimen pasir ini umumnya berukuran menengah-sangat halus, Pasir Lanauan mempunyai sebaran di sekitar mulut Sungai Kampar dan menerus kearah utara di sepanjang pantai Sumatera, juga di sepanjang pantai sebelah barat P. Mendol.

Sampel pemboran BH 1, terdiri dari Pasir sangat halus (0 - 6 m) dan lempung (6 - 21 m). Sampel pemboran BH 2, terdiri atas pasir halus (0 - 4 m) dan lempung (4,5 - 20 m), sampel pemboran BH 3 terdiri dari pasir medium (0 - 3,5m), pasir lanauan (4 - 10 m), dan lempung (10 - 18 m).
