Bulletin of Geological Resources Volume 21 Number 1 Year 2026 presents five scientific papers focusing on mineral and geothermal resources, contributed by authors from various institutions, including the Center for Mineral, Coal, and Geothermal Resources, Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Halu Oleo University, Polytechnic of Energy and Mining Bandung, Regional Research and Innovation Agency of Southeast Sulawesi Province, and PT Geoservice. The published articles cover studies on the influence of geological structures on hydrothermal alteration and ore mineralization in Hargosari, the integration of magnetic and Induced Polarization (IP) methods for delineating gold and copper mineralization prospects, the analysis of Ni-Fe laterization patterns and the identification of prospective nickel laterite deposits in North Konawe, the application of a parsimonious Arrhenius-based approach to estimate subsurface temperature gradients for geothermal exploration, and the characterization of alteration, mineralization, copper-bearing minerals, and their degree of liberation using SEM and XRD analyses. Collectively, these studies provide valuable scientific and practical contributions to mineral and geothermal exploration, resource assessment, and the sustainable development of Indonesia’s geological resources.
